調查：2015 年美國電視觀眾少 3%，其中一半受 Netflix 吸引



根據市場研究機構 MoffettNathanson 發佈的最新報告指出，2015 年美國當地的電視觀眾減少了 3%，其中約有一半的觀眾即是受到 Netflix 所吸引，轉而投奔串流媒體服務。

分析師 Michael Nathanson 長期追蹤電視觀眾的收視變化，他估計 2015 年美國當地的電視觀眾減少了 3%，這是一項整體的下滑趨勢，也對應串流媒體服務的收視人數逐年成長。

為了因應現今觀眾收看趨勢的演變，大多數美國的電視網改採尼爾森（Nielsen）所提出的新收視率指標「live plus 7」（或稱 L7），它是統計在節目播出 7 日內，有多少觀眾透過 DVR 或串流服務來收看該節目。

2015 年美國減少的 3% 電視觀眾當中，約有一半受到 Netflix 所吸引。根據 Netflix 官方的說法，去年在美國串流播放 290 億個小時的影片，換算成 L7 指標則佔 6% 左右，代表 Netflix 確實影響了美國的電視收視率；Michael Nathanson 更預估，到了 2020 年 Netflix 佔比將上升至 14％。

調查也顯示，對於 Netflix 用戶而言，唯一一家他們同時喜愛的電視公司為迪士尼（Disney），收視比例佔 11%，比沒有加入 Netflix 的一般電視觀眾還要高，用戶年齡層相對較低是其中一項影響因素。調查結果無疑是鼓勵更多電視網能夠發展自家的串流媒體服務，以抓住觀眾的注意力，否則他們最終將被 Netflix、Amazon、Hulu 等串流媒體所吸引。

提供優質的節目是 Netflix 發動的主要攻勢，使得觀眾願意從傳統的電視網轉而投奔串流媒體服務。家庭收視戶只透過寬頻網路造訪他們所需要的媒體，比例越來越高，串流媒體也成為最明顯的選擇。此外，Netflix 的影片可在任何時間、有網路的環境下收看，而且無需購買更多的設備，透過電腦、行動裝置，或者機上盒搭配電視就能觀看節目，也是其優勢之一。
